Airswift is partnering with a global leader in energy infrastructure to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer – Substations based in Perth.

As part of this major development program, you'll be joining a team focused on delivering innovative and technically complex substations in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.Role OverviewAs a Senior Electrical Engineer – Substations, you'll lead the design, procurement, and technical delivery of high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
This includes managing key vendor packages, developing scopes and specifications, coordinating construction support, and supporting commissioning activities across a portfolio of substations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the design and delivery of substation packages (HV switchgear, switchrooms, transformers).Lead primary electrical design reviews and ensure compliance with project and regulatory standards.Develop scopes of work, technical datasheets, specifications, budgets, and schedules.Oversee and evaluate vendor packages, including drawings, QA documentation, and testing procedures.Support FAT/SAT and provide technical input during commissioning and issue resolution.Collaborate with internal engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure integration across disciplines.Engage with consultants and contractors to meet project milestones and quality expectations.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).7+ years' experience in substation design, preferably in mining, utilities, or power generation sectors.Proven experience in both primary and secondary systems including protection and comms.Strong knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards and regulatory compliance (e.g.
