Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for cardiology and critical care? The Coronary Care Unit at John Hunter Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and skilled RN to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team.
Remuneration: $36.39 - $51.09 per Hour + 12% Super + Salary Packaging

As a Registered Nurse in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at John Hunter Hospital, you will step into a high‑acuity, fast‑paced environment where you'll care for some of the most complex and challenging cardiology cases. This role offers ongoing opportunities to advance your expertise in the field of cardiology, with John Hunter Hospital recognised as a tertiary referral centre for the Hunter New England Health Cardiology Stream and a designated site for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) procedures.
In this role, you will:
* Deliver specialised, evidence‑based nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for acute cardiology patients.
* Provide expert nursing support for patients undergoing interventional, structural, and electrophysiology procedures, including TAVI.
* Manage and support patients with heart failure and other complex cardiac conditions, contributing to improved outcomes and quality of life.

Requirements:
Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* Recent experience in cardiac nursing or critical care services is highly desirable.
* Ability to prioritise effectively in a complex and fast‑paced clinical environment.
* Strong communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
