About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to manage our Transport Network Operations Branch, overseeing the planning, maintenance, and improvement of critical infrastructure including roads, stormwater systems, and quarries. This role will lead a large, multi-disciplinary team and drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operational excellence.
Your focus will include:
* Lead and manage transport network services, civil construction, contracts delivery, civil operations, and asset management.
* Oversee strategic management of Council's quarries and ensure sustainable business practices.
* Deliver high-level road operations, maintenance, and construction services for pavements, bridges, drainage, pathways, and street furniture.
* Provide transformational leadership aligned with Council's vision and values.
About you
You're not just a manager, you're a visionary leader who thrives on complexity and inspires others to achieve excellence. You'll bring a mix of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and people leadership to deliver outstanding outcomes for our community.
* Proven leadership across field and office teams, driving strategy through to operations.
* Degree in Engineering with RPEQ accreditation.
* Strong commercial and strategic acumen, ideally with public and private sector experience.
* Expertise in program, construction, and asset management, financial oversight, and change leadership.
* Ability to navigate stakeholder needs, service demands, and political environments.
* Exceptional communication and collaboration skills—able to influence and build strong relationships.
* Advanced written skills for reports and business cases.
* Current "C" class Driver's Licence.
