Principal Mechanical Engineer CPC Engineering•Perth
Job Location: Be the technical leader responsible for providing expert guidance, overseeing complex mechanical engineering projects, driving innovation, and ensuring the highest level of engineering excellence within the field.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
* Develop mechanical engineering deliverables including package engineering, calculations and plant design
* Provide project review of mechanical deliverables
* Coordinate designs and drafts people
* Review progress and schedule
* Adhere to all CPC Engineering and CPC Project Design policies, systems, procedures and quality management requirements
Education and Experience
* Industry related higher education degree
* Significant (> 15 years) minerals process plant design experience
* Knowledge of a range of processes and unit operations
* Engineering delivery experience
* Work in team environment. Allocate work to others and monitor the progress thereof
Skills and Experience
* High level communication skills – written and verbal
* Strong computer literacy skills within a Microsoft office environment
* Ability to produce study estimates
* Ability to manage studies and small site projects, including variation management
* Excellent organisational and time management skills for systems and follow up
* Mentoring and developing other mechanical engineers
* Knowledge of databases and version control
* Extensive industry contacts and ability to win confidence of Clients through business development
* Willingness to travel if required
