Construction Manager – Renewable Energy Projects (Melbourne, VIC, AU)
The Construction Manager will lead and oversee the construction delivery phase of renewable energy projects, including thermal, battery energy storage systems, wind farms, solar photovoltaic plants, and hybrid energy projects. This role will involve hybrid working and FIFO/DIDO to site on a roster basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all construction activities from mobilization through to commissioning.
* Develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and resource allocations to meet project milestones.
* Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on‐site personnel to maintain productivity and quality standards.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations and company policies.
* Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions proactively.
* Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to maintain positive relationships and meet project requirements.
* Prepare and present regular construction reports, including progress updates, forecasts, and risk assessments.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize construction processes and reduce costs.
Qualifications & Experience
* Seasoned Construction Manager with 5+ years at a senior level in renewable energy projects such as thermal, BESS, wind, solar, and hybrid systems.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices related to renewable energy infrastructure.
* Hands‐on leader with extensive experience managing complex construction projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
* Experience managing multi‐disciplinary teams and subcontractors in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment.
* Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
* Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office suite.
* Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or related fields preferred.
