About the Role

Purchasing & Inventory Officer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement and inventory management within our organisation. This key position plays a critical role in ensuring that we obtain the best value for money while maintaining high-quality products and services.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional organisational skills, be able to manage multiple priorities, and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills. They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret data and make informed decisions.

This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and internal teams. The Purchasing & Inventory Officer must be able to build strong relationships, foster a culture of collaboration, and promote a customer-centric approach.


Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet business needs
* Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring timely and efficient stock replenishment
* Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and pricing agreements
* Analyse data and metrics to inform purchasing decisions, driving cost savings and efficiency gains
* Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

* A relevant degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
* Proven experience in procurement and inventory management, preferably in a similar industry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
* Certifications in procurement and supply chain management are highly regarded
