Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager
The Strategic Sourcing Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the procurement process with expert sourcing, category, and contract management. This position is responsible for assisting in achieving outcomes that reduce the total cost of operations and improve costs for capital projects while mitigating commercial risks.
To excel in this role, you will apply exceptional commercial and contract acumen to drive the source-to-contract lifecycle process (planning, strategy, market optimisation, contract execution, and contract management) to achieve the best business and operational outcomes.
A collaborative approach is essential when working across the organisation with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
This is a permanent role with an alternating weekly roster between working in the office and onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the entire source-to-contract lifecycle in collaboration with key stakeholders.
* Liaise across the organisation to determine scope of requirements.
* Utilise market intelligence to identify opportunities and solutions considering TCO objectives.
* Undertake risk assessments and ensure mitigation strategies are identified and implemented to minimise supply and commercial risks.
* Manage market engagement lifecycle including preparing, issuing, receiving tenders, negotiating, and drafting contractual outcomes.
* Conduct contract management activities including kick-off meetings, periodic performance reviews, and contract reviews in consultation with stakeholders.
* Participate in continuous improvement sessions to develop the function.
* Contribute to overall departmental strategic planning.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
* Influence contractors to improve controls and mitigate risks.
* Contribute to periodic reporting as required.
* Influence contracts to improve controls, mitigate risks, and ensure ongoing benefits.
* Oversee the maintenance, enhancement, and development of systems and processes to ensure optimal procurement and warehousing practices.
