We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to oversee the mechanical engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage overall performance and efficiency of the mechanical engineering team
* Review mechanical designs, structural interfaces and temperature/pressure considerations for future launch programs
* Develop and verify mechanical and structural systems to meet customer requirements
* Support development and work allocation of junior engineers
Mandatory Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Minimum 8 years experience in a professional mechanical engineering setting
* NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred
* Proficient in CAD software such as Solid Works or equivalent
Desired Qualifications:
* Proven leadership skills to manage and lead a team of mechanical engineers
* Innovative mindset to create designs for future launch vehicle programs
* Experience with Matlab, C++, Python and other modeling and analysis tools
