About the position
Provide high-quality clinical and non-clinical psychiatric services within the Rehabilitation Mental Health Services Program Area
Work in a supportive multidisciplinary environment with registrars, RMOs, and a highly skilled MDT delivering care to consumers with complex rehabilitation needs, including forensic, intellectual disability, and substance-use comorbidities
Engage in teaching, supervision, research, quality improvement, clinical leadership, and contribute to service planning as part of a major tertiary teaching hospital
Remuneration
Salary: $******* – $10,****** per fortnight + Super
Professional Development Leave: 3.6 weeks p.a.
Annual Leave: 5 weeks p.a. with 14% loading
Superannuation: 12.5% employer contribution

Essential requirements
Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), and eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA
Ability to obtain and maintain a Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP)
Demonstrated substantial and recent experience in psychiatric practice, ideally with exposure to rehabilitation, forensic, or complex mental health cohorts
Valid Class C driver's licence
Compliance with Vaccination Preventable Disease (VPD) requirements
Demonstrated capability in clinical leadership, multidisciplinary collaboration, communication, and high-quality patient-centred care
Desirable requirements
Experience or interest in forensic psychiatry
Accredited RANZCP supervisor or willingness to undertake accreditation
Experience in research, teaching, and quality improvement activities
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and deliver culturally safe services
Advanced skills in managing complex consumer cohorts, including those with intellectual disabilities or substance misuse challenges
