The primary goal is to ensure that the company adheres to local regulatory requirements while contributing to the development of organizational AML/CTF policies.Responsibilities:Annual regulatory reporting including submission of Compliance-owned reports and validation of first-line submissions.Maintain oversight of first-line activities and reporting, including escalations of AML/CTF suspicions.Submit and follow up on Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).Produce and maintain the annual Local Risk Assessment for Australia and New Zealand.Update AML & CTF Instructions to ensure alignment with local requirements and company's policies.Contribute to the Group AML & CTF Policy development, ensuring reflection of Australian regulatory expectations globally.Oversee the implementation of AML/CTF controls across Australia and New Zealand.Contribute to internal and external audits.Prepare quarterly Board and Management Reporting on local AML/CTF activities and risks.Deliver and maintain AML/CTF training tailored to local needs.Lead or support regulatory engagement with authorities and banking partners.Must Haves:6+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit in the financial services sector.Strong exposure to AML/CTF regulatory frameworks relevant to Australia and New Zealand.Degree in Law, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.Practical experience managing compliance obligations in regulated environments.In-depth experience in the financial services industry, including banking and fintech.Experience with digital/e-money institutions regulated by AUSTRAC, DIA, or ASIC.Knowledge of financial crime risk and sanctions compliance across multiple jurisdictions.Other Details:Location: Australia.Regulatory Bodies: AUSTRAC and DIA.
