The Opportunity
CSR is seeking an experienced and Transport Operations Specialist to join our team in Coopers Plains and play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and customer‐driven transport operations. This is a fast-paced role where your ability to think ahead, optimise routes, solve problems on the fly, and build strong working relationships will make a real difference.
As our Transport Operations Specialist, you'll be at the centre of daily operations—balancing customer requirements, fleet capability, and compliance to keep freight moving smoothly. You'll work closely with transport partners, internal teams, and customers to drive operational performance, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives across our network. Key Responsibilities
* Plan and implement daily transport schedules aligned with site and customer requirements.
* Allocate loads and delivery times to maximise efficiency and cost effectiveness.
* Monitor operations throughout the day and adjust schedules as needed.
* Liaise with transport partners, customers, and internal teams to ensure on‐time delivery.
* Ensure compliance with CoR, fatigue management, load restraint, mass management, and other regulations.
* Track performance and review daily results to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
* Maintain accurate records in SAP TMS and support ongoing system and process enhancements.
* Provide proactive communication and problem‐solving support for operational issues.
About You
* Experience in transport scheduling, logistics coordination, or a similar operational role.
* Strong understanding of road transport operations and compliance requirements.
* Proficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office.
* Solid knowledge of Queensland and Northern NSW geography.
* Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
* Strong problem‐solving abilities and a commitment to safety and accuracy.
* Ability to build effective, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
