Senior Financial Accountant Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to support our growing Freight Forwarding division.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and post monthly journals, month-end adjustments, and accurate financial reports.
* Provide management with timely insights, variance analysis, and Group reporting packs (APAC, Australia, Dubai).
* Reconcile general ledger and intercompany accounts; review payroll coding and employee provisions.
* Maintain fixed asset registers and monitor Assets Under Construction (AUC).
* Assist with budgeting, quarterly reforecasts, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
* Support statutory accounts, tax schedules, audits, and compliance initiatives.
* Drive process improvements, including enhancements in Oracle and other finance systems.
* Assist Finance Managers and complete ad-hoc tasks to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
An accounting degree or professional qualification (CPA/CA) with 5+ years' relevant experience is required. Experience in freight forwarding/logistics and/or large business organisations is highly valued. Proficient in computerised accounting systems; CargoWise experience essential. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/AASB) and business systems. Advanced Excel and general IT skills; highly computer literate. Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, in a team, and meet tight deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
