Japan Sales Development Role

We are looking for a highly motivated sales professional to develop and execute a channel strategy for distributors and resellers in Japan.

* Channel Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive channel strategy to increase awareness of Canonical as a leader in Open Source and Cloud solutions.
* Partner Engagement: Identify, prospect, and engage new partners in Japan to build relationships and grow business.
* Sales Enablement: Guide partners through onboarding and enablement, arranging sales and pre-sales trainings to enhance their skills.
* Pipeline Management: Drive and manage the channel pipeline through regular partner interactions, ensuring timely follow-up and issue resolution.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate mutually beneficial agreements with partners. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales development and a passion for building long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute a channel strategy for distributors and resellers in Japan.
2. Increase awareness of Canonical as a leader in Open Source and Cloud solutions.
3. Identify and recruit new potential partners in Japan.
4. Leverage personal network and prospecting skills to engage new partners and build on existing relationships.
5. Guide partners through onboarding and enablement, arranging sales and pre-sales trainings.
6. Drive and manage the channel pipeline through regular partner interactions.

Requirements:

* Proven track record of success in sales development.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to negotiate mutually beneficial agreements with partners.
* Passion for building long-term relationships.
