Introduction
We are seeking an articulate, results-driven Outbound Sales Specialist to join our UK firewood operation from our Pinelands, Cape Town customer service centre. This critical role involves proactive outbound calling to build relationships with chimney sweeps, wood burning stove suppliers, and related businesses across the UK market. The successful candidate will promote our incentive/referral scheme and sell firewood products directly to trade partners, representing our firewood.co.uk brand.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Cold Calling & Lead Generation
* Conduct high-volume outbound calls to UK-based chimney sweeps, stove suppliers, and related businesses
* Utilize provided lead databases to identify and qualify potential partners and customers
* Generate qualified leads for both referral program enrolment and direct firewood sales[5][6]
2. Referral Program Development
* Present and promote the company's incentive/referral scheme to chimney sweeps and stove suppliers
* Explain commission structures and benefits to potential referral partners
* Negotiate referral terms and secure sign-ups for the program
3. Direct Sales Activities
* Sell firewood products directly to stove suppliers and other trade customers
* Present product features, pricing, and delivery options to prospective buyers
* Handle objections and close sales within established targets
4. Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with UK trade partners
* Provide ongoing support to referral partners and direct customers
* Conduct follow-up calls to nurture leads and maintain engagement
5. Market Intelligence
* Gather market feedback and competitor intelligence from the UK market
* Report on market trends and opportunities to management
* Identify new business opportunities within the chimney and stove industries
6. CRM & Reporting
* Maintain accurate records of all calls, leads, and sales activities in CRM system
* Provide daily and weekly performance reports
* Track conversion rates and sales metrics against targets
Desired Experience & Qualification
Essential:
* Neutral or English Accent – critical for UK Market credibility
* Excellent verbal communications skills in English
* Proven cold calling/telemarketing experience (min 2 years)
* Strong sales ability
* Resilience and persistence – able to handle rejections
* Some knowledge of UK market dynamics and business practices
* Matric or equivalent
Desirable:
* Previous experience in UK Market or with UK customers
* Knowledge of chimney sweeping or wood burning stove industry
* Experience with B2B sales
* Familiarity with referral/affiliate program structures
* CRM software experience
* Basic understanding of UK business culture and practices
Package & Remuneration
MaxR25,000 CTC, depending on experience
Ability to earn commission.
