Located approximately 12 kilometers north of Benalla and just south of the Goorambat township in Victoria, this 319 Megawatt (MWp) solar farm aims to deliver affordable, reliable, and clean energy to Victorian homes and businesses.Your Role and Responsibilities:This role will see you influencing employees, contractors and visitors on all Health & Safety matters in line Bouygues Construction policies and procedures.The HSE Coordinator will provide support, coordination, and advice of HSE practices, systems and procedures within the Project and will develop and administer education and compliance programs for employees, contractors and visitors. The HSE Coordinator will also provide direction and support to the team to develop and implement adequate HSE training within the Project.Communicate HSE requirements to subcontractor’s onsiteReview Subcontractor HSE Interview Questionnaires and verify the capability of the subcontractor to deliver the required work task to agreed HSE standardsReport any key issues to project leadership team and regional HSE managementAssist in identification of key areas and develop HSE training needs analysis (safety and L&D supporters)Assist/carry out monitoring of current competencies and support ongoing development needs.Deliver training throughout project (where client allows)Assist in incident investigations and report to appropriate personnelAssist in site communication.Prepare project or workplace HSE inductions and prepare, conduct and/or coordinate HSE training programsRegularly review project HSE systems and plans against activity requirementsEnter and extract data from incident management systemQualifications and Experience:Diploma Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalentCert IV in Environmental ManagementBachelor degree in Safety, Environment, Engineering, Project Management or other associated disciplinesISO45001 and/or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor QualificationPrevious experience as a HSE Practitioner in Construction and Engineering, heavy industry or other high-risk industry.Previous experience working under Victorian Workplace Health and Safety legislation and Codes of Practice.Preferred previous experience in Solar Farms in regional VictoriaKnowledge of business administrationCapability of using HSE management and technique tools/softwareIncident report and management skillSkills and Knowledge Required:Skill in HSE management techniques and toolsQuantitative and qualitative risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls and actions involved in delivery and implementation of projectsSkills in data gathering, statistical and trend analysisConducting and interpreting audits and reviewsSkills in document management processes including recording, monitoring and archiving and producing routine written communicationsSkills in identifying HSE improvements to systems, processes and/or productsExperience using relevant computer software packages; use of basic functions of word processing, spreadsheet and email softwareMonitoring, reporting and continuous improvement on performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance.Training in basic risk activities and programs to small groupsKnowledge of Safety & Rehabilitation Management Systems and relevant IMS proceduresKnowledge of Environmental Management Systems and relevant IMS proceduresKnowledge of applicable standards especially AZ/NZS 14001:2016 and AZ/NZS 45001: 2018.Knowledge of Safety legislation and statutes, and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to the ProjectKnowledge of Environmental legislation and statutes, and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to the ProjectExpert in project management structure, plans and implications for HSE and accountabilitiesKnowledge of auditing, HSE inspections and compliance reporting procedures and processesKnowledge of compliance and reporting procedures and processesKnowledge of document compliance procedures and processes and understanding of technology to support HSE systemsAbility to implement naming convention and document control strategies within a project based systemUnderstanding of Incident Management and reporting involving multiple internal and external partiesPlease note that this position is located on-site and FIFO (Fly-In-Fly-Out) is not available.Why Bouygues Construction Australia?At Bouygues Construction Australia, we’re dedicated to the design, construction, financing, and delivery of nation-shaping projects across civil, road and rail infrastructure, renewable energy, and services.Bouygues Construction: Building for LifeWith a global workforce of 32,500, Bouygues Construction is driven by the most exciting responsibility of all—building for life.
