Our client is seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to contribute to innovative rail solutions in Bellevue. About Us Our client is a leader in designing, manufacturing, and maintaining over 200 railcars, offering a comprehensive portfolio that includes high-speed trains and digital mobility solutions. Responsibilities As part of the project, you will be part of the design, manufacturing and maintenance for over 200 new railcars. This role would see you perform all mechanical installations to complete the assembly of the train, where no day will be the same! Key Responsibilities: Read, apply technical documentation supplied Install and assemble railway vehicle components using standard work procedures, hand & power tools Use and manipulate lifting and transporting devices such as overhead cranes to install, replace and align subassemblies and components Ensuring that all work is efficiently planned in Bogie Shop and Assembly workshop, controlled and undertaken in a safe manner to the standards set down by the customer Perform self-Inspection of railway car components in order to identify defects and ensure quality Remove and replace defective parts and components Your Profile We’re looking for people who bring: Certification or qualification in fitting (i.e, Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or equivalent) Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. What’s in it for you?
