About the Opportunity: We are excited to announce that Acciona has been named the preferred contractor to deliver a major wharf infrastructure project at Port Hedland for Pilbara Ports Authority. This marks the first stage in the development of the Lumsden Point General Cargo Facility and Logistics Hub (LCGF), a transformative multi-user facility designed to: Enable the export of critical minerals. Support the import of renewable energy infrastructure. Facilitate the import/export of general cargo. Accommodate the import of bulk liquids such as fuel and chemicals. To help us deliver this project, we are now seeking a suitably experienced Civil Construction Planner to join the team. Reporting into the Construction Manager, you will develop project planning and monitoring systems to generate relevant information to assess the progress of a project in terms of time and cost. Key accountabilities for the position: Conduct risk assessments on costing schedules to identify potential delays or disputes. Review site monthly status reports and ensures that Construction Programmes satisfy the requirements of Tender. Identify milestones, critical path tasks and long lead time tasks and reports against these. Actively and constantly identify risk and improvement opportunities in relation to area of control and the wider project. Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems. Monitor the financial performance of all elements of the program and progress. Required Skills and Competencies 3 years' planning and/or project management experience in a construction/civil engineering environment. Good at multi-tasking and demonstrates sound judgments, including balancing competing issues. Specialised knowledge of project scheduling and program logic networking. Demonstrable understanding of design engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning methodologies Presented problem solving / analytical skills.
