Assistant Project Manager - Defence Role
We are seeking a motivated and qualified client-side Assistant Project Manager with experience or exposure in delivering projects within Defence or similar government agencies.
About The Opportunity
The position may be embedded within Defence, acting on behalf of the client, or as Assistant Project Management/Contract Administration (PMCA), spanning across Capital Facilities & Infrastructure (CFI).
This role involves managing projects related to Building and Construction, Infrastructure, Contract Management, Refit, Property Management, and similar fields. The position is based in Griffith, Canberra, with a fast-paced team, and is part of a market leader in project management specializing in large, complex projects.
About You
* A tertiary qualification in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is desirable.
* Experience/exposure with various delivery methodologies, particularly Head Contract, Managing Contractor, and Design and Construct, is advantageous.
* Previous experience in Defence, including Defence writing skills.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
* Proactive and strategic thinker.
* Australian Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
* Ability to provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status per government regulations.
* At least 1+ years of client-side PM or PMCA experience in related industries; familiarity with Commonwealth Procurement Rules is preferred but not essential.
* AIPM Accreditation or equivalent is advantageous.
