Catbird is growing, and we're creating a new Pastry cook position for someone who wants real ownership over their work.
This role is for an experienced pastry cook who thrives on creativity, autonomy, and high standards. You'll have the freedom to develop pastries that feel true to you and the Catbird brand, while working within a thoughtful, well-run café that values craft, consistency, and good hospitality.
The Role
* Lead the pastry offering from concept to execution
* Develop and refine seasonal pastries and baked goods
* Manage prep, production, and quality control
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen, bread department and front-of-house teams
* Maintain food safety, organization, and efficiency
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a pastry cook (this is not an entry-level role)
* Strong technical skills and attention to detail
* Creative instincts and the confidence to execute your ideas
* Ability to work independently and manage your own section
* A calm, professional approach in a busy environment
