Your New Role
The Enrolled Nurse delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients of The Sutherland Hospital consistent with SESLHD and The Sutherland Hospital policies, procedures and standards.
The Enrolled Nurse works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse/Midwife and assists in the provision of nursing care. Enrolled Nurses retain responsibility for their personal actions whilst remaining accountable to the Registered Nurse/Midwife for delegated functions.

Clinical supervision at the point of care is the role and responsibility of each Registered Nurse/Midwife and Enrolled Nurse within everyday clinical practice, in line with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council Decision Making Frameworks for Nurses and Midwives.
Where You Will Be Working
In 2024 with the completion of a new Operating Theatre build we have moved into a state of the art 8 Theatre/2 Procedural Room Operating Suite and 18 bed PACU.
The Anaesthetic Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients of The Sutherland Hospital & Community Health Services consistent with SESLHD and The Sutherland Hospital & Community Health Services policies, procedures and standards. Our newly developed Theatres consist of 6 operating theatres one of which is a hybrid theatre. Surgical specialties include Obstetric, Urology, Orthopaedic, ENT, Endoscopy, General and Emergency surgery. We work Monday to Friday and cover emergency surgery afterhours Monday to Sunday and weekends on a full rotating roster Monday to Sunday. Our vision is to provide patient centred care by upholding key values of respect, equality, safety and teamwork in a clean, friendly and caring environment.

Supports working in a person centred environment.
Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
Knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Enrolled Nurse in applying these principles.
Demonstrated recent post registration experience in an acute care setting.
