Hamilton Island is seeking a motivated and hands-on
Workplace Trainer
to support our
Learning & Development team
. In this frontline training role, you'll help grow and develop the skills of our people across our service-based operations.
You'll play a vital role in delivering consistent, high-quality on-the-job training and onboarding, ensuring team members feel confident, capable, and set up for success. Where you'll make an impact
Deliver structured onboarding and on-the-job training sessions for new starters
Support the design, coordination and delivery of training programs that align with employee and business needs
Maintain and update competency frameworks and training programs to ensure consistency and compliance
Monitor performance and provide feedback to team members and managers, ensuring standards are met
Identify training gaps and contribute to improving processes, systems and service delivery
Uphold WHS requirements and organisational guidelines in all training activities
What we're looking for
You're an enthusiastic communicator with a strong background in hospitality and a passion for helping others succeed. You enjoy being hands-on, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.
To be successful, you'll need:
Current driver's licence (Essential)
Strong hospitality knowledge and experience (Essential)
Supervisory and/or workplace training experience in hospitality (Desirable)
Certificate III in Hospitality Operations or equivalent (Desirable)
Training & Assessment qualifications (Desirable)
