Fleet Operations Coordinator – City of Greater Dandenong
Band 6 - $99,846 - $108,835 per annum (plus super). Temporary Full Time (until April 2026).

About the Role
Council is seeking a proactive and skilled Fleet Operations Coordinator to lead the day-to-day management of Council's fleet, plant, and stores operations. In this role, you'll coordinate scheduled maintenance and repairs, ensure vehicles and equipment meet compliance standards, and deliver high-quality customer service to internal clients. You'll supervise workshop and stores staff, administer the AusFleet system, manage purchasing and stock control, and support budget planning for fleet and plant renewal. You'll also conduct inspections, oversee safety and compliance processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across systems, service delivery, and operations.
This position offers the opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge, leadership experience, and organisational skills in a dynamic environment where your work directly supports essential Council services. Responsibilities
Supervise workshop and stores staff
Administer the AusFleet system
Manage purchasing and stock control
Support budget planning for fleet and plant renewal

Qualifications & Selection
