Senior Electrical Engineer Contract Length: 12 Months Role Responsibilities Comprehensive equipment assessment: Perform detailed evaluations of existing electrical equipment, including VSD drives, soft starters, power meters, smart field instrumentation, and associated communication infrastructure.
Equipment specification review: Assess and approve equipment specifications to ensure alignment with project objectives and standards.
Replacement strategy development: Design customized replacement methodologies for various types of electrical equipment.
Technical documentation & drawings: Produce and update technical documents, including single-line diagrams, motor schematics, termination drawings, MCC panel layouts, block diagrams, equipment layouts, cable sizing calculations, schedules, and harmonic distortion study reports.
Risk assessment: Conduct risk assessments to establish safe torque limits for mechanical equipment and drive systems.
Installation work pack preparation: Develop comprehensive installation work packs for the deployment of new electrical equipment and harmonic filters.
Site installation supervision: Oversee contractor-led electrical installations on site, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the industry, with a strong background in industrial electrical projects.
Solid understanding of applicable electrical standards and regulations.
