Permanent full time Moorabbin location 5 years of mechanical drafting experience essential Leading a team for exciting major project work The Company: An established and highly regarded building services company specialising in HVAC, refrigeration and mechanical services is seeking an experienced lead draftsperson to join its Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team based in Moorabbin. The Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a lead drafting expert to lead a team working on industry leading projects, producing high quality mechanical drawings and 3D models to drive excellence in project delivery. Reporting to the State VDC Manager, you will work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, drafting personnel and clients to ensure timely and successful project outcomes. Key responsibilities include: Oversee drafting staff and trainees Attend project meetings & allocate project tasks Produce mechanical services drawings using Revit Ensure quality assurance and compliance with company guidelines and contractual obligations of the project Follow BIM enabled workflows Liaise with engineering and project management teams and other trades About YOU! Minimum of 5 years previous drafting experience in building services (mechanical) is essential Experience leading a drafting team on large project work Strong BIM modelling capability Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks Manage essential Certificate IV in Drafting (Air Conditioning & Mechanical Services) or equivalent industry experience Team player with excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy Excellent communication skills and can do attitude This is a fantastic opportunity if you have solid drafting experience within the Building Services industry and experience leading a team to join a nationally integrated VDC team working on complex and technically challenging projects.
