Are you an energetic, friendly person who would love to work with children, students and local community members to increase the vibrancy of a shared public space?
The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced library officer to join the Library services of the Shire.
The Donnybrook Library is a jointly run facility between the Shire and the Donnybrook Senior High School, located on the school grounds. The Balingup Library is a small boutique library, open to the community three days per week across the following times:
Tuesday: 9.00am-12.00pm, 1.00-4.00pm
Thursday: 9.00am-12.00pm
Saturday: 9.00am-12.00pm
Responsibilities
* Assist with the delivery of library services to the Donnybrook District High School and the Shire of Donnybrook Balingup community.
* Assist with library operations and administrative processes.
* Catalogue records according to RDA and MARC standards.
* Assist with the delivery of collection-based services to the public (includes physical and digital items).
* Assist with money handling procedures and banking.
* Assist with the development and delivery of key projects, focusing on increasing community vibrancy and participation.
* Attend training as appropriate to develop skills in line with continuous improvement.
* Develop and implement new procedures and processes as directed.

* A positive, friendly and engaging approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* High level of computer literacy skills (Microsoft Word & Excel).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
* Demonstrated ability to use initiative.
* A proven commitment to Work Health and Safety principles and practices.
* Working with Children Check.
* National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
