Quality Assurance Officer Role
The Australian Government seeks a Quality Assurance Officer to join the National Shipbuilding Sustainment Group (NSSG).
This role is accountable for performing governance, assurance, auditing, and corporate reporting activities in support of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
* We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of quality management principles and practices.
* The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
* They will also be able to interpret and apply relevant legislation, policy, and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
About the Role:
The Collins Submarine Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation. You will have access to generous working conditions as an Australian Public Servant in Defence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform moderately complex assurance activities with internal and external stakeholders.
2. Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant processes, products, and equipment applied in a proactive audit and assurance program.
3. Identify and define issues and report on non-conformances to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of internal processes.
Requirements:
* Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) Core Skills Framework.
* Ability to formalise findings through excellent report writing.
* Strong interpersonal skills, successful collaboration, and effective communication within a team environment.
