Role Overview
Reporting to the base Supervisor, the Mechanical Service Technician will be based at Teams Gladstone Service Delivery Centre. The position will require travelling to our clients' sites on a regular basis to fulfil the needs of our varied clients.
The successful applicant will be working closely within a team environment, with a strong focus on Safety and Quality. The role demands excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills along with excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
* To work unsupervised in both workshop and on-site environments
* To comply with company policies and procedures
* To promote and market Teams' services, products and business solutions
* Maintain accurate documentation in line with AS/NZS ISO 9001
* To assist fellow employees in a supportive manner as an integral part of working in a team environment
* Responsible to maintain the cleanliness/tidiness in the immediate area of your work, both in the workshop and on site.
Requirements
* Fitter and Turner, Fitter Machinist (Tradesmen or 4th Year Apprentice)
* Ability to travel and be away from home for extended periods of time
* Must hold a valid Australian Driver's License
* Must hold a Construction (White) Card
* Ability to work shiftwork, weekends and Public Holidays as required
* Ability to work in remote locations
* Ability to climb ladders up to 50 meters
* Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Ability to work with minimal supervision, set priorities and work to deadlines
* Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language
* Ability to work to tight tolerances
* Ability to pass pre-employment medical
Experience in the following industries is an advantage but not essential.
