ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Outlet Supervisor supports Outlet Manager with the day‐to‐day operations of the Abercrombie outlet, ensuring high standards of customer service, team performance and outlet presentation.
In this hands‐on role, you will supervise team members during shifts, lead by example on the outlet floor and support smooth food & beverage operations. You will assist with staff training, stock control (ordering/receiving/invoicing), stocktake, coffee service, HACCP, cash handling/end‐of‐day cashing off, promotions and POS systems, while ensuring compliance with USU F&B operational standards, and WHS requirements.
This full‐time role (38 hours per week) is rostered across 5 days in evening shifts from 12:30pm – 8:30pm and may include weekends occasionally depending on operational needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
As the Outlet Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day‐to‐day operation of the Abercrombie outlet. You will supervise staff during shifts, support Abercrombie operations and help ensure the outlet delivers strong food & beverage service, outlet presentation and sales performance.
Your leadership style is hands‐on, supportive and organised, with a strong focus on customer service, teamwork and operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Supervise daily outlet operations and ensure smooth service delivery
* Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service
* Coach and support team members to maintain strong service and F&B knowledge
* Assist with recruitment, onboarding and staff training (POS, F&B and Coffee etc)
* Monitor stock levels, stock par levels and outlet presentation
* Support food and beverage promotional campaigns
* Manage POS systems, stocktakes and inventory processes
* Build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders
* Resolve customer issues through effective service recovery and communication
* Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, cash handling and USU operational policies
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Excellent organisational and problem‐solving ability
* Experience working with POS systems and app technology
* Flexibility to work across a rotating roster
* Strong organisational and problem‐solving skills
* Ability to lead staff and maintain productivity in the absence of Manager
* Exposure to the management of both front‐of‐house and kitchen teams
DESIRABLE SKILLS
* Tertiary qualifications in hospitality, retail or business
* Experience with stock ordering and inventory management
* Knowledge of WHS and workplace legislation
* Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
* Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Understanding of the USU and its role within the University community
