The role requires a strong leader to oversee a team responsible for supporting the Directorate's workforce of approximately 1,500 staff on employment matters.
Key responsibilities include providing advice and support to executives and supervisors regarding their people management responsibilities such as performance, behaviour, attendance, flexible work, injury management, recruitment and other employment practices and policies.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, be comfortable having difficult conversations, possess personal resilience, and have the ability to multi-task/prioritise with strategic thinking.
As part of this position, you will design and deliver projects, programs, and initiatives that contribute to organisational and whole-of-government HR priorities.

Required qualifications include at least five years' experience in a senior officer role of a similar nature or complexity.
