About the Role:
The Academic Relationship Manager is responsible to grow LexisNexis sales of products and services, in the allocated territory within the Academic market, maintain a high level of market visibility and penetration and maintain and strengthen relationships amongst universities and other educational institutions with a key focus on relationship management and solutions selling to retain and win new business.
This is a Permanent full-time to be based in either in Brisbane or Melbourne with the possibility of combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Relationship management with all customers in the territory virtually and in person.
- Achieving targets by retaining and growing existing customer accounts.
- Maintain high quality working relationships with academics, bookshops and students.
- Maintain reporting systems to assist in the sales and management process
- Effectively meet customer needs and take responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Provide market analysis and feedback to management and editorial
- Assist in ad hoc projects as required to improve business processes

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualified relevant knowledge of education / universities background in Australia
- Territory and stakeholder management at executive level with the ability to nurture relationships at a strategic level.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills and proven ability to negotiate.
- Strong communication skills with ability to build relationships (essential).
- Strong numeracy skills, sales reporting, and CRM management with proficiency in MS Excel (essential).
- Competent with Microsoft Office suite and CRM system.
