We are seeking a passionate and skilled pastrychef to join our team full-time. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a boutique dessert cafe and cake shop that specialises in handcrafted cakes, creative desserts, and exceptional customer experiences. 
Position: Pastrychef, Full Time 
Salary: $76,960 per annum 
Skills & Experience 
- Certificate III in Patisserie or an equivalent formal culinary qualification 
- Minimum 1 full-time relevant experience as a pastrychef 
- Solid knowledge of patisserie techniques, flavour combinations, and presentation 
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment 
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills 
- Passion for creating cakes that bring joy and memorable experiences 
Responsibilities 
- Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of cakes, pastries, and desserts 
- Handcraft cakes with custom shapes, colours, and messages 
- Collaborate with the team to develop new designs and flavour combinations 
- Manage daily kitchen operations to meet customer orders and deadlines 
- Inspect and prepare raw ingredients, including accurate weighing and measuring 
- Mix, knead, cut, mould, and shape doughs and pastries for a wide range of baked goods 
- Prepare pastry fillings, creams, and toppings for specialty items 
- Oversee the baking process: preparation, loading, baking, cooling, and finishing 
- Glaze, ice, and decorate cakes and pastries with creativity and attention to detail 
- Operate and maintain bakery machinery such as mixers, moulders, and cutting equipment 
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and presentation
