Automotive Painter
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Spray Painter to undertake quality workmanship in ensuring vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition. This is a full-time position.
The ideal candidate will have strong commitment to working in a safe manner, excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work effectively with the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Colour mixing and matching of vehicles after preparation and scheduling for painting.
* Building and maintaining a colour library.
* Preparing, priming, and painting vehicles as per job sheet requirements following paint supplier's process.
* Buffing and denibbing vehicles.
* Handling all vehicles with due care and attention.
* Notating any extra paint work required that is not quoted for.
* Reporting any old damage or poor previous repairs to the production manager.
* Cleaning work bay and workshop areas.
* Coaching apprentices when required.
About You:
* Trade qualified Spray Painter with minimum 3 years experience.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with the team.
* High attention to detail and strong commitment to working in a safe manner.
