Overview

Director, Site Operations CCC - 0000BB7A. Support the democratic process by playing a key role in delivering the 2027 New South Wales State election.

About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Commissioner, Electoral Operations Group, the Director, Site Operations is a newly created position responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of the Centralised Count Centre (CCC) site, from initial planning and setup through to operational leadership and strategic management.

You will be ultimately responsible for directing all site activities during the election and managing the final decommissioning process of the site. You are a credible and seasoned leader, who can confidently provide trust, expert advice and support to key internal stakeholders and project teams. You will build strong productive relationships and accurately manage expectations, whilst ensuring high-quality project management governance, compliance and practices in line with the NSW Electoral Commission's programme management methodology and framework. Due to immovable deadlines you will be comfortable in working in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline driven environment.

The role is temporary full-time until 30 June 2027.

Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements

As the successful candidate, you will have:

* Relevant tertiary qualifications and industry experience.
* Proven successful track record of managing sites and site teams to deliver complex, time critical events or projects.
* Demonstrated ability to successfully influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders to leverage shared resources and achieve business outcomes.
* Satisfactory Criminal Record check result.
* No affiliations with political parties, candidates, elected members, third-party campaigners, donors or registered lobbyists that could undermine the political impartiality of the Commission or that are otherwise inconsistent with its Political Neutrality Policy.

Other Information

Your employment will be subject to National Criminal Records Check to determine your suitability for employment. The Commission's Political Neutrality Policy may be viewed on its website. A talent pool may be created from this recruitment action for ongoing and temporary roles of the same work classification that may become available over the next 18 months. This role is based mainly in our Elizabeth Street, Sydney office or our dedicated count centre in western Sydney. Flexible arrangements may also be agreed with the Assistant Commissioner, Electoral Operations Group.
