As we expand into a multi-location model, we are seeking an exceptional Human Resource Adviser to join our team and support our growth.


Position Summary

The Human Resource Adviser will provide comprehensive staffing and human resources administration services to support our organisation's policies and programs. You should be able to plan, implement, and evaluate overall staff recruitment, assist in resolving disputes by advising on workplace matters and represent our organisation and other parties (industrial, commercial, union) in negotiations on issues for enterprise bargaining, rates of pay or conditions of employment when required. You will play a key role in all aspects of the employee work lifecycle, ensuring we attract, develop, and retain amazing team members who align with Champion Health's values.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, interviewing, and selecting staff.
* Arrange and conduct the induction of new staff, providing information on conditions of service, salaries, and promotional opportunities.
* Provide frontline advice and support to management and employees on workplace relations policies, staff performance, and disciplinary matters which shall also involve undertaking negotiations on terms and conditions of employment, resolving disputes and grievances if required.
* Assist in determining, implementing, and reviewing human resource management strategies, policies, and plans to meet business needs, especially with context and reference to established enterprise bargaining agreements.
* Advise and assist in the application of sound training and development programs to enhance team growth and address skill needs.
* Maintain accurate human resource records and manage associated HR information systems.
* Contribute to positive workplace culture by assisting with employee engagement initiatives and team events.


Required Skills and Qualifications

* Must hold a qualification assessed as comparable to the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelor degree level or higher with Human Resource Major. While not essential but a higher qualification such as Master of Human Resource is desirable.
* In addition to the required qualifications, a minimum of at least 1-2 years experience in a human resources position particularly in the allied health or medical industry is preferred.
* Demonstrated experience in providing generalist, frontline HR advice and support to managers and employees possessing thorough understanding or required legislation, awards, collective agreements, employment etc.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* A proactive nature and strong work ethic.
* Current Driver's License.
