This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a senior Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team working with adults and young people who have experienced violence, abuse and neglect. As a key member of the team, you will provide clinical leadership and specialist nursing care to patients presenting at our service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within the Prevention and Response to Violence Abuse & Neglect (PARVAN) Sexual Assault Service.
* Employ advanced clinical skills and exercise extended autonomy of decision-making working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.
* Function under the guidance of the PARVAN Adult Clinical Medical Lead and the PARVAN Sexual Assault Service Manager in the integrated psychosocial, medical and forensic management of victims of sexual assault (aged 14 years and older).
The ideal candidate will have current registration as a Registered Nurse, relevant post-registration qualification and 3 years postgraduate experience working in the clinical area of the postgraduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience. They will also have demonstrated NSW Health Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner accreditation or extensive clinical nursing experience and a willingness to undergo formal training, assessment and supervision such as the ECAV Graduate Certificate in Medical and Forensic Management of Sexual assault, within 12 months of employment.
