This Sales Representative/Account manager role based on the Sunshine Coast requires the successful candidate to find and chase new business leads, identify sales potential and build an ongoing rapport with existing customers in their sales territory.
It requires the ability and motivation to continuously drive sales and profitability for the business and requires developing a deep understanding of how the business and the industry it supplies operates in order to achieve the required outcomes for the business.
You will be using your skills to call on customers daily, both in person, on the phone or through email communication and develop a sound calling schedule which best serves the customers and the business for a mutually beneficial business relationship.
You will be continuously upskilling in the form of ongoing product training, joint customer calls with supplier representatives and internal training allowing you to utilize our operating system effectively.
The successful applicant will be self‑motivated, trustworthy and possess a positive can‑do attitude. They will also be resilient and problem‑solving orientated with the ability to utilize these skills to produce a positive outcome for both their customers and the business.
Sales Experience in the Fastener supply industry is highly desirable but not essential, though sales experience in a previous role is required.
The role requires the growth of new sales while maintaining an existing customer base which supplies to industries such as the Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing and Marine industries.
The role provides a fully maintained work utility vehicle, and no weekend work is required.
There are opportunities for interstate conference travel up to twice a year and generous staff discounts on all stock is available.
