We are a fast-growing online health and fitness coaching business seeking a resilient, high-composure Client Success Manager to handle daily client communication, retention efforts, and problem resolution.
This is not a light customer service role.
You will be dealing with frustrated clients, cancellation requests, payment issues, and emotionally charged conversations on a daily basis. The work is demanding, fast paced, and requires strong emotional control and decision making under pressure.
If you are easily overwhelmed, avoid confrontation, or struggle with difficult conversations, this role will not be suitable.
Key Responsibilities
• Handling cancellation requests and attempting structured retention conversations
• Managing disgruntled or dissatisfied clients with calm authority
• Conducting client calls relating to progress, support, and disputes
• Responding to enquiries, complaints, and payment concerns promptly
• Working with coaches to find solutions while maintaining firm boundaries
• Managing down-sells and service adjustments where appropriate
• Maintaining accurate client notes and communication logs
• Availability for weekend communication, including Saturdays
About You
• Thick-skinned and emotionally resilient
• Comfortable with confrontation and difficult conversations
• Able to remain calm when clients are upset, angry, or unreasonable
• Clear communicator who can hold boundaries without becoming defensive
• Highly organised and fast to respond
• Comfortable working in a high volume online environment
• Solution oriented rather than approval seeking
• Understands that retention and resolution are performance metrics
What This Role Is Not
• It is not a casual admin role
• It is not purely positive client interaction
• It is not suited to people who need constant praise or reassurance
