We are seeking a highly organised, digitally confident AWS Training Officer to help deliver and grow our online training portfolio.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The AWS Training Officer is a part-time role (0.8 FTE, approximately 4 days per week), with flexibility to work from home.
It is ideal for someone with high proficiency and confidence using digital systems, who enjoys coordinating multiple projects, engaging with technical experts and delivering high-quality online learning experiences.
A major part of this role is coordinating and delivering sponsored webinars – an important revenue stream for AWS – as well as supporting the development of multi-session online courses and converting them into polished on-demand offerings.
You will play a central role in ensuring our training products are delivered smoothly, efficiently and profitably, helping AWS grow its global reach and learner base.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate, schedule and deliver sponsored webinars, including presenter liaison, session preparation and live facilitation.
Support the development and delivery of live online training courses, including session planning, digital asset preparation, and uploading materials into the LMS.
Host or support online sessions, manage breakout activities and troubleshoot basic technical issues to ensure a seamless learner experience.
On-Demand Production & Platform Management
Convert webinars and courses into high quality On-demand training products, including basic editing, file management and LMS publishing.
Maintain course pages, enrolment links and resources to support smooth registration and access.
Improve workflow efficiency to support profitable delivery of AWS programs.
Monitor attendance, learner feedback, and performance data; contribute to reporting on enrolments and revenue.
Identify opportunities to improve training formats, packaging, and scheduling to strengthen uptake and business performance.
Work closely with presenters, sponsors and partners to support the creation of new training opportunities aligned with market demand.
ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
3+ years' experience in education and training.
Tertiary qualifications in learning design, education, communications, or related discipline.
Experience working in the university sector or building online university-level training/courses is highly desired.
Strong organisational and time management skills across multiple projects and deadlines.
Confident using LMS platforms, webinar tools, CMS systems and digital content tools; able to learn new technologies quickly.
Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work with technical experts and diverse audiences.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with interest in how course delivery and process efficiency contribute to revenue growth.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small, supportive team.
Experience in the water, environmental science or engineering sectors will be highly regarded.
