Overview
Located just outside Muswellbrook, Thiess' Mount Pleasant Operation provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a Greenfields project and help shape it into a world‑class operation. The role requires working on a rotating 5/4, 4/5, 5/5 12‑hour roster.
Responsibilities
* Perform servicing, inspection, repair and maintenance of mine infrastructure facilities and high‑volume mobile mining equipment.
* Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change‑outs to a high standard.
* Install and maintain machine guidance technology and fleet management systems.
* Install new infrastructure facilities as required.
* Source technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEMs and computer‑based systems.
* Maintain digital radio infrastructure and assist with wireless and hard‑wire networks.
* Conduct inspections to maximise equipment utilisation.
* Maintain good housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
* Electrical trade certificate of proficiency.
* Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007.
* Electrical supervisor/contractor's licence issued by the Department of Fair Trading.
* Current CPR and low‑voltage rescue certification.
* High‑voltage switching and access experience.
* Open cabler licence is advantageous.
* Post‑trade experience installing and maintaining industrial electrical installations.
* Experience in the mining or heavy earth‑moving industry and fixed infrastructure.
* Experience maintaining and fault‑finding large mining equipment automotive electrical, machine monitoring, and GPS systems.
