AphasiaWA Communication Groups Coordinator (North of the river)
Overview
Aphasia WA communication groups coordinator role for the North of the river region. Responsibilities include promoting the program, recruiting and training volunteers, and supporting group leaders and members.
Responsibilities
* Promote Aphasia WA
* Recruit volunteers to lead groups
* Provide training to volunteers
* Support volunteers and members by attending groups periodically in order to create personal presence and relationship with all. Assist, when necessary, to problem solve any issues or conflicts in a diplomatic way. Monitor and model running a group successfully.
* Facilitate group if group lead not available
* Seek feedback from members regarding their needs and views
* Chat with interested new members/support persons to answer questions about the groups, and be a welcoming, friendly contact.
* Develop new groups when appropriate
* Provide photographs and group updates to AphasiaWA social media person
* Attend AphasiaWA monthly on-line committee meetings, and report feedback to committee regarding the groups activities and any issues arising.
* Liaise with Communication Groups Coordinator (North/South) as required.

Training
Training: Training will involve four (4) hours of face to face skills based training.
