The Role
The APS 6 Maintenance Manager works as part of an integrated team consisting of the Australian Defence Force, Australian Public Servants and Defence industry partners. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining materiel logistics and maintenance support systems for a wide range of Defence equipment and platforms maintained at Joint Logistics Unit (Victoria) Puckapunyal.
The Maintenance Manager will be qualified and capable to work with a level of independence to achieve the following:
Delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.
Develop, analyse, implement and maintain materiel logistics plans, processes and procedures.
Provide advice and support to the materiel logistics team to maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance systems.
Generate responses to complex correspondence, briefs and reports for higher delegate consideration.
Interpret and comply with legislative, policy, regulatory frameworks and organisational objectives.
