Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Taxation Accountant to commence on 13 April through to 5 June 2026. This role will provide additional capacity during the Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) year-end period, contributing to the accurate and timely preparation, review, and delivery of FBT returns. You will play a key role in managing peak workloads, resolving complex taxation matters, and supporting stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns
* Review and ensure accuracy of financial data and reporting outputs
* Manage high-volume workloads within strict deadlines
* Resolve complex FBT-related matters
* Support client engagement and stakeholder communication
* Contribute to data analysis and reporting activities
* Assist with finance-related project work as required
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, taxation, or commerce (or working towards)
* Professional membership (CA, CPA or equivalent) highly regarded
* Mandatory current National Police Clearance
* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills
* Strong numerical reasoning and analytical ability
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
* Proven ability to manage high volumes of work under pressure
* Experience with data analysis and reporting
* Understanding of public sector financial frameworks, legislation, and processes (desirable)
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
* Strong organisational and time management skills
