About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Advisor to join our projects team in West End, Brisbane or Toowoomba office. This permanent, full‐time position plays a key role in delivering SHEQ outcomes across projects based in Rockhampton, Chinchilla, and Withcott (QLD). The role requires 1–3 days of travel per week (project‐dependent), alongside office attendance at your selected location.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and maintain Safety Management Plans and risk registers.
* Conduct incident investigations and support audit programs.
* Deliver SHEQ training, inductions and toolbox talks.
* Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures and critical risk protocols.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive SHEQ performance.
About You
* Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (or equivalent).
* Solid technical understanding of project equipment and operational requirements.
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including field teams, operations and clients.
* Champion and promote a safety‐first approach across all project activities.
* Strong attention to detail, particularly in audits, reporting and documentation.
* Current valid driver's licence.
* Ability to travel.

About the Projects
Ventia's Energy Networks and Renewables teams support Powerlink in delivering critical grid connection infrastructure, helping generate enough clean energy to power more than 85,000 Queensland homes. As part of this, the Boulder Creek Wind Farm—a 38‐turbine, 228MW onshore development located approximately 40km southwest of Rockhampton—will be connected to the network through a newly designed and constructed 275kV switching station.
Additionally, at the Brigalow Gas Power Station in Chinchilla, Ventia is delivering the construction of a 275/33kV substation and approximately 2km of 275kV transmission line, further strengthening the region's energy infrastructure and connectivity.
Ventia also provides specialised installation and maintenance services for overhead distribution networks on behalf of Energy Queensland across South‐East QLD, including construction, refurbishment, inspection and ongoing maintenance of overhead assets, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient electrical infrastructure.
