Legal Counsel
We are seeking a seasoned Legal Counsel to act as a trusted adviser to our leadership team and Board. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various areas of law, including commercial, corporate, employment, privacy, regulatory, construction, insurance, and intellectual property.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and service agreements.
* Providing governance, ASIC, board, and shareholder matters support.
* Handling employment law, including contracts, policies, awards, disciplinary matters, workplace investigations, WHS obligations, and Fair Work compliance.
* Ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), internal data governance, and policy frameworks.
* Managing regulatory and licensing obligations across all Australian states.
* Supporting construction and property law, including subcontractor agreements, tenders, procurement, and building law compliance.
* Assisting with insurance and risk management, including claims, indemnities, incident response, and coverage reviews.
* Providing dispute resolution and litigation support, including early resolution strategies, managing external counsel, court/tribunal matters, and enforcing contracts.
* Protecting intellectual property, including brand, trademarks, and proprietary systems.
* SUPPORTING mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic growth initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Advanced degree in Law (LL.B or Juris Doctor)
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field
* Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Able to work effectively in a team environment
