Accountant (2-year contract) – BD
This 2-year contract offers the opportunity to take ownership of general accounting, tax and compliance for a new entity created as part of BD's divestiture process.

You'll work independently, manage end-to-end accounting activities and contribute to a high-impact transition project that sets the foundation for future success.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and supporting indirect tax calculations and filings (GST, Payroll Tax, FBT)
Preparing, reviewing and supporting corporate tax submissions
Statutory account preparation and lodgement
Performing sweep accounting and completing month-end close submissions
Conducting account reconciliations and ensuring data accuracy
Coordinating with third-party vendors for financial and operational support
Managing customs duty disclosure requirements
Handling ad-hoc general accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
CPA qualification
3–5 years' experience in compliance, tax or general accounting
Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
