Job Title Training Advisor - Maintenance Job Roster Job Summary Responsible for the delivery of training activities in the organisation Job Statement Genesis Mineral Services would like to appoint a Maintenance Trainer to support our current mine sites and who will complement our current and incoming maintenance professionals. This role is critical to ensuring our workforce are safe, skilled and compliant with statutory, OEM and site-specific maintenance standards. Your key responsibilities Deliver machine-specific training aligned to OEM specifications, site standards, and safe work procedures for key fleet assets (e.g., haul trucks, excavators, dozers, graders, drills, watercarts) Facilitate both practical and classroom-based technical training focused on fault finding, component change-outs, preventative maintenance, and inspections Conduct on-the-job training (OJT), mentoring, and coaching to support continual development of trades personnel and apprentices Undertake structured assessments and Verification of Competency (VoC) for maintenance personnel, aligned to core and role-specific competencies Support implementation of the Core Competency Framework for maintenance roles Identify skills and knowledge gaps through targeted upskilling programs and refresher training Work with Maintenance and Training teams to ensure training pathways support internal career progression and trade advancement Ensure all training and assessment activities are conducted in line with relevant legislation, WHS standards, and site procedures Attend toolbox talks, shutdown pre-starts, and post-job reviews to provide guidance and reinforce standards Provide regular updates on training progress, VoC status, and compliance risks About you Recognised Trade Qualification in Heavy Mobile Equipment or Plant Mechanics (e.g. Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology) A desire to complete or completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116) Minimum 5 years' experience maintaining surface HME in mining or heavy industry Proven experience with large surface mining fleets (e.g., CAT 793/789, Komatsu HD1500-8, 830E, Hitachi EX2600, 2000, 1200, Liebherr 996/9800) Sound understanding of WHS regulations, isolation standards, and maintenance work procedures Desirable Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Workday, Talent LMS, SAP) Exposure to CMMS and maintenance planning tools (e.g., SAP PM, AMT, Pronto) Previous involvement in training system design, competency framework development, or trade progression Familiarity with critical control verifications and fatal risk protocols What you can expect from us A caring and supportive culture.
