We are a space and defence company located in Australia’s first innovation neighbourhood at Lot Fourteen in Adelaide. We are a resident amongst many other innovative and high-tech companies and are next door to the University precinct and the beautiful Botanical Gardens.
With around 50 employees, we develop satellite technologies and are building several spacecraft for civilian and defence customers. We have developed a family of small satellite platforms and provide a complete turnkey satellite mission solution from mission design to spacecraft design, manufacture, integration, test, delivery, and operations. We also provide services to Defence in several key areas, including electronic warfare, simulation and modelling and space surveillance.

Position Broad Purpose
This position is an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack Software Developer to join our growing mission control software team at Lot Fourteen. Through the role, the developer will be working intimately with the spacecraft we build and the systems developed to operate them in orbit. The agile team you’ll join is made up of passionate and driven developers who are excited about building technology to operate spacecraft at the cutting edge of the space industry. As this is a growing team, there is opportunity to increase the role/responsibility for the right candidate. You will be responsible for:
Developing front-end and back-end software.
Implementing dev-ops processes for cloud-based web applications.
Reviewing software developed by other software developers.
Continual evaluation and improvement of processes within the software team.
Providing technical leadership across software architecture and web technologies.
Monitoring operations systems and troubleshooting problems when they arise.
Working with engineers within the company to understand operator and system requirements.
Reporting Relationships and Key Stakeholders
This position reports to the Mission Control Team Lead.

Five years experience in web development.
Web development technologies (Typescript, Vue.js, Postgres, No SQL Databases, AWS, Containerisation, Infrastructure as Code)
