Project Officer Role
As a highly skilled and proactive Project Officer, you will lead and support projects across the agency under limited direction. Your strong project management skills and stakeholder engagement experience will enable you to deliver meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.
* Contribute to the development and management of project plans and schedules.
* Provide expert advice, procedural guidance and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.
* Perform research work and analysis including contributing to the preparation of reports.
* Contribute to regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
* Draft a range of written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review.
Essential Qualifications:
* A strong understanding of agile project management methodology to plan, monitor and deliver work packages.
* The ability to meet critical deadlines.
* A demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision as an effective member of a team, using a high level of initiative to manage competing priorities.
* Advanced communication skills and the ability to work well with stakeholders and manage expectations.
* Well-developed Microsoft 365 Skills (Microsoft Word, Power Point, Microsoft Planner).
* Government administration experience.
* Australian Citizenship is required.
Additional Requirements for APS6 Role:
* Qualifications in either project management, government or the social services field.
* At least 2 years project management experience.
