Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
At our organisation, we are seeking experienced mechanical fitters to join our operations and maintenance team. The successful candidate will be based at HMAS Albatross in the Shoalhaven region of NSW.
The role involves performing scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment, diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment, project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment, support subcontracted work packages as required, and occasional regional travel across NSW.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of facilities and equipment
* Conduct diagnostics and repairs on fuel related assets and equipment to prevent downtime
* Work on projects to upgrade and maintain fuel installation assets and equipment
* Collaborate with other teams to deliver integrated services
* Travel occasionally to various sites throughout NSW to provide support
Required Skills:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have trade qualification in mechanical fitting, relevant post-trade experience, proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas, experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry highly regarded, confined space and working at heights tickets highly regarded, and safety at the forefront of everything you do.
