About the role
Askable's core research platform is established and loved by hundreds of the world's best teams. But we're not stopping there.
We're spinning up a new venture—a separate zero-to-one product that reimagines what product research looks like in an AI-native world. And we need a Senior AI Product Designer to help define it from the ground up.
This is a role for someone who doesn't just use AI—they live it. You're already weaving AI into every stage of your design process, from ideation to iteration. You're the person your team turns to when they want to know what's possible, what's next, and what's hype versus substance.
You'll be joining a dedicated cross-functional team with a single mission: find product-market fit for this new product. You'll report to the Head of Product for this venture, but your collaboration will extend beyond the immediate squad—sharing knowledge with our broader design, product, and engineering teams across Askable.
This isn't about applying established patterns to familiar problems. It's about defining new ones in a space that's evolving weekly. If that sounds more exciting than terrifying, we should talk.

What you'll do
* Shape a new product from the ground up—strategy, vision, and execution
* Design AI-native experiences that feel intuitive, not gimmicky
* Define new interaction patterns for emerging AI capabilities
* Collaborate with product and engineering to rapidly prototype, test, and iterate
* Run discovery and validation with real users to find product-market fit
* Stay relentlessly current on AI developments and bring insights back to the team
* Contribute to the broader Askable design culture through knowledge sharing and collaboration
* Ship fast, learn faster, and be comfortable with ambiguity

Skills and experience you'll bring
To hit the ground running in this role you'll need at least 5 years experience working as a product designer, ideally in a SaaS or tech environment with:
* Proven experience designing AI-powered products or features
* A portfolio or case studies that show your thinking—especially how you've tackled novel, ambiguous
problems
* Demonstrated use of AI tools throughout your design workflow (we want to see how you work, not just what you've shipped)
* Strong interaction design skills, particularly for conversational, generative, or adaptive interfaces
* Experience with zero-to-one product work or early-stage ventures
* Comfort defining design patterns where none exist yet
Bonus points if you've designed for research, productivity, or B2B SaaS tools.

Comfort with ambiguity: Zero-to-one means unknowns. Lots of them. You thrive when the path isn't clear and can move from messy to meaningful.

Independence and ownership: You won't find cabinets full of step-by-step instructions at Askable. You'll need to think on your feet, manage your own workflow, problem-solve roadblocks, proactively ask questions, and take responsibility for the goals you set.
